Overview:

Designed by Michel Dufour and built by Dufour Yachts, France, the 1800 has a full-bodied hull topped by a well faired superstructure, providing generous accommodation in a simple, but very practical form. Her fractional rig provides for easy handling with a good performance. This craft had a professional osmosis treatment to the hull in 2005/06 during which period a re-fit was undertaken by the previous ownership following a survey (report available). Recent improvements (2014) include: Replacement windows in the main saloon, repainting, compounding and polishing hull and upper works, general improvements with new style lines.

Accommodation Details:

From FWD: FORECABIN with two single berths in V-form with infill providing a good sized double berth. Some stowage space under the berths. The berths and the infil have custom-made 'signature' covers (Dufour symbol). A glazed fore-hatch is fitted providinglight, ventilation and an emergency exit. Mid section to Stbd is a work-top and hand-basin with cold water feed by use of foot pump. Space to side and below for personal items. Opposite, is the Heads with sea toilet. MAIN SALOON - through structural bulkhead, with mahogany vaneer and sliding solid door - Bench seating/berths set P&S again with Dufour 'signature' covered cushions. Generous stowage under each. Aft, set adjacent to the companionway leading to the Cockpit, is the GALLEY to Port and a chart table to Stbd. The Galley is minimal with a sink with cold water feed, a cold box and a recessed space for a single gas ring cooker. It would be quite possible to fit a more sophisticated assembly if required. A demountable table is ficed to the central part of the main bulkhead. A chart table is located port side of the companionway. There is access below the cockpit under the steps where an inboard could be installed. COCKPIT - with conventional integral bench seating each side. The outboard well has an enclosure. The deck area is bounded by stainless guard wires with stainless steel pulpit / pushpit assemblies. Conventional deck layout with anchor well at the bow.

Broker's Comments

'These craft have been popular from the time they were introduced and remain to be so for their uncomplicated fit-out, turn of performance and general enjoyment of a combination of good head-room and facilities in the accommodation. The vessel has been unused for a while and therefore may require recommissioning'.
