Overview:

In the 1970's the Quarter Ton Cup was hotly contested internationally and a number of designs came to the market as the result of this burst of enthusiasum. This Offshore 1/4 Tonner 'Flash Point', was the inspiration of Bernard Olesinski, a yacht designer famed for designing large superyachts but he cut his teeth and honed his skills on sailing vessels such as this. Slightly minimalistic but a refreshingly simple and uncomplicated cruiser / racer, the Offshore 1/4 tonner will inspire those who enjoy exilerating sailing with more than a meaningful accommodation package. Prettier than most of her counter parts she is pleasing to the eye and no doubt sails as well as she looks. A great package for not a lot of money!

Accommodation Details:

The open layout cabin environment has a FORECABIN area with conventional 'V' berth layout with storage below (mainly for spare sails) and a ventilation / escape hatch above within the 'downturn' of the superstructure moulding. The MAIN SALOON area has berths port and starboard with storage areas above and below. A table hinges out when needed but neatly folds over the starboard berth when not in use. Between the forecabin and main saloon there is further hanging space and storage areas. At the after end of the cabin the GALLEY (P) area is simple and functional with a stainless steel sink and manual cold pump plus a gas cooker and good stowage for cooking gear. The central companionway is removable to gain access to the diesel auxiliary. In the COCKPIT there are lockers P&S and across the transom providing a good working area for the crew (more so than in some). Relatively easy access to the side deck areas and some control lines are fed aft the cockpit.
